Overview

Collection of comics is a very interesting hobby, since you can enjoy not only the collecting of your comics but you can also enjoy reading your comics. This can be amusing, seriously, spiritful in addition but also rather spiritless. So differently contents of the Comics are so complex is also the collecting of comics. There are Comics with endless series of booklets such as Micky Mouse and Super Man. But there are also comics which were issued only once. There are many well-known and common Comics, in addition, nearly unknown Comics, the exotic comics, which are often even not known by comics dealers. Many comics could be bought by a low budget, others old rarities are very, very expensive. As is the case for so nearly every other collectiong area the preservation of the booklets for their value plays a large role. Like that booklets with minimum customs traces are approx. twice as much worth like booklets with already remarkable damages. Comics with the best condition are again 30-50 % more worth. If one wants to begin a collecting of Comics, then one should not do without the appropriate "technical literature ". TREASURE Comics (08/26/2005)

Hello, I have three binders full of the children's comic (magazine), called TREASURE, published by Fleetway Publications Ltd.
They are dated 1963, 1964, and 1965. They are in good condition apart from looking aged.

Boxes of comic books (10/08/2004)

I live in columbus ga. My son, 42 yrs of age, passed away on 9/23/04. He had several boxes of comic books,most in jackets, probably 600 to 800 total collection, many from the 70's and 80's. 800 comic books (07/23/2004)

Hi, I just acquired over 800 comic books from one of my tenants that passed away, he was a comic book dealer. I know absolutely nothing about comics. What do I look for in turn of their value? Most of them are 30th and 50th year anniversary ones. I have one that has 30th anniversary 1962-1992 on the cover but when I look on the first page it reads 1993 Vol. 1 No.1. Is this a typo? If not, which year should I go by? The rest of them with the anniversary date on them have either the start year or the ending year of the anniversary on the first page. How can find glossary terms as far as “editions” and so on? Thanks for any info
